Yakari is a Swiss comic series, created by the duo Job and Derib.
The strip is worldwide in 17 languages, including Dutch, German, the North Germanic languages, Finnish, Breton, Indonesian, Polish, Chinese, Arabic, English and Inuktitut. There is also an animated series based on the comic strip.
The series is about a young Sioux Indian named Yakari, who has the gift to talk with animals.Together with his trusty mustang Little Lightning strays around on the prairie of North America. He is also assisted by the Great Eagle, his totem animal.
